Revenue Cycle Scorecard

What is a Revenue Cycle Scorecard?

A clear, high-level read on three financial indicators that tell you how your outpatient therapy practice's revenue cycle is performing — and where it may be worth focusing next.

Three indicators, one clear picture

A revenue cycle scorecard isn't a deep audit. It's a focused conversation around three numbers that, together, describe how healthy your billing and collections really are. During a 30-minute review, an MBC revenue-cycle consultant walks you through each one in plain language.

Collection Percentage

How effectively your practice is collecting the revenue available after contractual adjustments. It's a high-level measure of whether the money you've actually earned is making it through to the bank.

AR Ratio

Your accounts receivable relative to your average monthly charges. It gives a quick sense of whether outstanding balances look reasonable for a practice your size — or larger than expected.

Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)

Approximately how long it takes your practice to convert services into collected revenue. A faster cycle means more predictable cash flow; a slower one can quietly strain operations.

A scorecard, not an audit

The scorecard is intentionally high-level. It's designed to give you a clear, conversational read on where things stand and a few practical priorities to consider — not an exhaustive, claims-by-claims analysis. No claims export or report setup is required up front.

What happens if we uncover something?

If the scorecard points to an area that warrants deeper investigation and you're interested in exploring MBC as a billing and collections partner, we can schedule a separate Revenue Cycle Deep Dive. During that process, MBC can review additional information such as AR aging, payer performance, denials, and workflows to determine whether a partnership makes sense. There's no obligation — the scorecard stands on its own.
